EMIRATI WOMEN’S DAY: A Salutation To The Great Women
“After women, flowers are the loveliest things God has given the world”.
Since the foundation of the great country of the UAE, the Emirati women have played an instrumental and crucial role in the growth and betterment of the UAE and ushering it into a new era of success and advancement.
The country has a strong voice as a powerful international force promoting the cause of women empowerment and equal rights. To give the cause a big hit, on August 28, the country celebrates Emirati Women’s Day, under the theme ‘Women on the Course of Zayed” the lessons taught by the late Sheikh Zayed that are still empowering women today.
In 2015, Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak considered as “THE MOTHER OF THE NATION” and the Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, launched the Emirati Women’s Day to perceive the compelling role of women in the country.

The purpose of this year’s celebration intents to resume the role of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in constituting the progress of women in the UAE, which he conveyed by saying,
“Nothing makes me happier than seeing women take their exceptional role in society, and nothing must obstruct their advancement.”
If we look at the facts and figures how Emirati women are contributing, we are astonished to see that the Emirati women constitute 66 percent of jobs in government sector, 30 percent of which are of key positions. Likewise the government, in the private sector, more than 23,000 Emirati businesswomen in the UAE have invested more than Dh40 billion.
The great Emirati women have made from being sports champions, winning medals in the games to the female ministers changing our day to day lives with vital contributions and becoming fighter pilots soaring in the sky and even aspiring to go into outer space. We even have Amna Al Qubaisi the very first Emirati female Formula 1 racing driver who participated in Italian F4 Championship. So there is no limit to what women are able to achieve here in the UAE.
We at Pinoy Tourism has a firm belief that every woman is creative, innovative, ambitious and determined with a great example of dedication and perseverance. So that’s why Pinoy Tourism employs more than 70 percent of female staff including on the decision-making positions.
We as a Team Pinoy wish a very happy Emirati Women’s Day and a life full of excellence and achievements to all the great Emirati Women.
