Jordan is an incredibly underestimated Arabic nation that lies on the eastern shore of the famous Jordan River. The country is famous for the huge amount of history, ruins, nature, and beautiful monuments it holds. It holds a beautiful mixture of the business of the city life, and the peacefulness of nature and life by the sea. Jordan makes a beautiful destination that is relatively cheap when it comes to the expenses of the entry visa and the travel and accommodation fees. Amman

Amman is one of the most famous Jordanian cities, as it is the capital of the country. The city is known to be modern, with a touch of ancient ruins in numerous parts of it; some are right there in the middle of the city and some are a bit on the edges.

One of the most famous ruin is the historical Citadel, which is located on the top of Jabal Al Qala’a. Translated into English that means the castle mountain. The Citadel contains the pillars from the Roman Temple of Hercules. How exciting is that! It also includes the complex of the Umayyad Palace, which was built in the 8^th century, and is mostly known for its huge dome.

If you go downtown on a different hillside, you will find the Roman Theatre, which still hosts events from time to time. The amphitheater was built in the second century, which makes you admire its magnificence even more.

Petra

Petra is that famous Nabatean capital that dates all the way back to around 300 B.C. Most famous for its archaeological site named after the city, Petra. The site consists of numerous ancient monuments, temples, and tombs that are carved into the sandstone that surrounds it and is pink in color. This explains the nickname that the city of Petra has earned, which is the “Rose City”.
