The world’s longest Zipline has just opened its arms for everyone and has already created a hype among all. Here’s all you need to know about. You can also share your thrill, since there are two lines, allowing you to fly with your friends or family members. This adventure junkie spot is open to all ages, provided that the minimum weight of 45 kilograms to a maximum weight of 150 kilograms with a minimum height of 4 feet.

 

This mountainous setting offers something different from just the urban counterparts. It’s a zipline cutting down through two mountains, and that’s what makes it even more fascinating.This monster is incredibly big, around the size of 28 soccer fields. The best thing about this activity is that you don’t require any kind of technical experience to enjoy this.

It is a 3-hour climb for adventurers, where you would find three ziplines. The first one being 50m, followed by 60m and the biggest one being 300m. The easiest out of the all is “The Ledge Walk”, that fits the need of all climbers. But, if you’re an adventure junkie or would love to push yourself to limits, then trying the Middle and Julphar Scare is the best. This even involves some to overhang. Crazy, isn’t it?

The Ledge Walk is a gentle climb on the mountains that leads to a 300-meter long zipline. It takes about 4 hours to complete the course.

The Middle Section is the technical route known as “The Middle Path” and will take around 3.5 hours to complete. The higher or the vertical route is known as “The Julphar Scare”, takes around 1.5 hours to complete and is the most direct route to the zipline.

What to bring along and to expect out of this?

First and foremost, don’t forget that you need to be between the age of 12 to 65 years of age and weigh between 50 to 100 kilos and have a moderate fitness level to enjoy this. Just don’t freak out with heights!

At the Via Ferrata (The protected climbing route) and The Toroverde (The RAK Zipline) you will be provided with a safety equipment and a handy backpack with bottles of water and enough space for you to have your items placed inside. Don’t forget to ask them for your GoPro Mount helmet, and the clipper Mount.

Make sure you’re wearing good gripping shoes and an athletic kind of clothing. It’s always advised not to wear shorts for this adventure activity. If you end up wearing slippery shoes like Vans or Converse, you might not be allowed to take up the adventure.

How much does this cost?

It is only 400 AED, that includes the 3-ziplines, the climb on the mountains and the transfer to the Jais Mountains from Hotel Tulip Inn in Ras al Khaimah.

If you’re coming by your own, then you will be driving 15km up to Jebel al Jais Mountains to reach to the designated parking lot as per your bookings.
