Arrive in Tirana, Albania’s colorful capital, and meet your Travel Director and fellow travelers. Enjoy an introduction to the city’s modern and historic highlights, including a stroll around Skanderbeg Square — the beating heart of Tirana.
Explore Tirana’s fascinating mix of Ottoman, Fascist, and Soviet-era architecture. Visit the striking Bunk’Art Museum, a vast Cold War bunker turned cultural space, and discover the stories behind Albania’s transformation. The afternoon is free to wander the lively cafés and street art-filled alleys.
Journey to Berat, one of Albania’s oldest and most picturesque towns, nicknamed the “City of a Thousand Windows.” Explore its ancient fortress and charming whitewashed houses before continuing to Vlorë on the Albanian Riviera, where the Adriatic meets the Ionian Sea.
Travel along the dramatic coastal road, stopping at Porto Palermo Castle overlooking the crystal-clear bay. Continue through charming seaside villages like Himarë, where rugged cliffs meet turquoise waters. Return to Vlorë for a relaxing evening by the coast.
Cross the border into Montenegro, taking in breathtaking coastal views along the way. Arrive in Budva, a lively resort town with a blend of medieval charm and modern energy. Enjoy an orientation walk through its old town, filled with cobblestone lanes and seaside views.
Spend the day exploring Montenegro’s crown jewel — the UNESCO-listed Bay of Kotor. Visit the medieval town of Kotor, with its stone walls and winding streets, then cruise to the tiny island church of Our Lady of the Rocks near Perast. Return to Budva for a free evening to enjoy local seafood along the promenade.
Say farewell to Montenegro and journey north into Croatia. Stop in Perast before continuing to Dubrovnik — the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Tonight, take a leisurely walk through the Old Town and see the city walls glowing in the evening light.
