Arrive in Italy’s Eternal City and settle into your hotel. Later, meet your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a welcome dinner featuring authentic Roman cuisine.
Leave Rome behind for a scenic drive south. Stop at the legendary ruins of Pompeii, frozen in time since AD 79. Continue to Sorrento, perched above the Bay of Naples, where lemon-scented breezes and sweeping sea views welcome you.
Hop aboard for a scenic cruise to the Isle of Capri. Explore this glamorous island’s piazzas, boutiques, and sea-view cafes, or take an optional visit to the famous Blue Grotto (weather permitting). Return to Sorrento for a relaxed evening.
Journey south through Calabria, taking in dramatic coastal views before boarding a ferry across the Strait of Messina to Sicily. Arrive in Giardini Naxos, your base for exploring the island’s eastern treasures.
Head to Taormina, Sicily’s crown jewel. Visit the ancient Greek Theatre, perched on a hill with views of Mount Etna, and wander through the elegant Corso Umberto lined with cafés and boutiques.
A full day to relax or explore at your own pace. Perhaps visit Mount Etna’s volcanic slopes or sip local wines at a nearby vineyard.
Travel to Agrigento, home of the UNESCO-listed Valley of the Temples. Explore the remarkably preserved ruins of ancient Greek temples surrounded by olive groves and sweeping Sicilian hills.
Continue to the medieval hilltop town of Erice, known for its cobbled lanes and panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Later, arrive in Palermo, Sicily’s vibrant capital.
Visit the breathtaking Cathedral of Monreale, famous for its golden mosaics. Return to Palermo to see its grand architecture and lively markets before a special farewell dinner with your group.
