Welcome to Seattle, known as the Emerald City for its lush evergreen surroundings. After settling in, enjoy free time to explore at leisure before joining your Travel Director and fellow travelers this evening for a welcome dinner.
This morning, dive into the sights, sounds, and flavors of Pike Place Market, where fishmongers toss their catches and vendors fill the stalls with local treasures. Later, soar to the top of the Space Needle for spectacular 360° views of the city, Puget Sound, and the Olympic Mountains.
Take a scenic ferry across Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island before continuing into the Sequim Valley for a visit to a fragrant lavender farm. Then, journey deep into the Olympic Peninsula, where forest, mountain, and coastline meet. End your day at the historic Lake Quinault Lodge, tucked among lush rainforest landscapes.
Wake up surrounded by nature and spend your morning exploring the wonders of Olympic National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, follow the coastline south into Oregon, arriving in Astoria, where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. Visit the Columbia River Maritime Museum and enjoy free time in Astoria’s charming historic downtown.
Begin the day with a visit to the Astoria Column, climbing to the top for sweeping vistas. Then board the Riverfront Trolley for a scenic ride along the Columbia River. Continue along Oregon’s dramatic coastline to the seaside town of Newport, where ocean breezes and sandy beaches set the tone for a relaxing evening.
Travel south into the fertile Willamette Valley. Stop at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum before savoring a Be My Guest gourmet lunch with wine at a local vineyard. Later, journey to Portland, exploring its vibrant neighborhoods and eclectic downtown on a sightseeing tour.
Take a day trip into the spectacular Columbia River Gorge, marveling at dramatic cliffs and waterfalls, including the iconic Multnomah Falls. Return to Portland for a farewell dinner with your fellow travelers, toasting your journey through the Pacific Northwest.
