After arriving in the historic city of Istanbul, meet your local guide and settle into your hotel. You’ll have free time to relax or explore nearby streets, with the option to take an enchanting Bosphorus Dinner Cruise at sunset, enjoying city views from the water.
After breakfast, you can spend the day at leisure or join an optional guided city tour. Explore the Old City with visits (from outside) to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, the Serpentine Column, Obelisk of Theodosius and the German Fountain. Wander the vibrant Spice Market and see the historic Topkapi Palace exterior and Ottoman tombs, soaking in centuries of culture and architecture.
Fly from Istanbul to Kayseri and transfer to Cappadocia, a land of otherworldly rock formations. Check into your hotel and enjoy leisure time to wander local markets or relax before dinner at your hotel.
Discover Cappadocia’s dramatic landscapes—begin with the surreal Devrent (Imagination) Valley and visit Avanos Village to see traditional pottery-making. Continue to the remarkable Göreme Open-Air Museum, a UNESCO site filled with ancient rock-hewn churches and frescoes. Optional hot air balloon rides offer breathtaking sunrise views over fairy chimneys.
After departing Cappadocia for Pamukkale, stopping at Konya to visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana, honoring the famed Sufi poet and mystic. Then after having your exploration and lunch, continue to Pamukkale, where the evening is yours to rest.
Explore the stunning white travertine terraces of Pamukkale and the ancient ruins of Hierapolis, including its ancient theatre. See the unique red mineral springs of Karahayit and enjoy time to walk barefoot on the natural terraces and soak in the therapeutic waters. Later, transfer to Kusadasi for your overnight stay.
On your final day, visit the House of Virgin Mary and then the remarkable ancient city of Ephesus, where you’ll walk through the Celsus Library, Temple of Hadrian, Fountain of Trajan, and the vast Roman Theatre—one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the Mediterranean. After your tour, transfer to Izmir Airport for your flight back via Istanbul to your home country.
