You will be greeted at Paro Airport and driven through scenic winding roads to Thimphu. Spend your evening admiring the golden spires of the Memorial Chorten and the grand architecture of Tashichho Dzong.
You can stand at the feet of the massive Buddha Dordenma for a panoramic view of the valley. Later, you will visit the Takin Sanctuary to see the kingdom’s mythical national animal and watch master artisans at the Painting School.
You will travel to Punakha, stopping at 3,100 meters at Do Chula Pass to see 108 memorial chortens. You can walk through the "Palace of Great Happiness," the Punakha Dzong, situated beautifully at the confluence of two rivers.
You will take a scenic drive to the Phobjikha Valley, a protected haven of biodiversity. It is the perfect place to breathe in the mountain air and look for the endangered black-necked cranes in their winter home.
You will return to Paro to visit the Rinpung Dzong, a stunning example of Bhutanese defense architecture. You can stroll through the ancient halls and imagine the history that protected this valley for centuries.
You will embark on the legendary climb to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched precariously on a cliff. Afterward, you can find peace at Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in the kingdom.
You will enjoy a final breakfast before being transferred to the airport, carrying with you the peace and magic of the Himalayas.
