Your Balkan adventure begins in Croatia’s charming capital, Zagreb. Meet your Travel Director and fellow explorers before an evening orientation walk through the city’s heart — St. Mark’s Square, Lotrščak Tower, and the colorful Dolac Market.
Discover Zagreb’s blend of Austro-Hungarian elegance and modern energy. Visit landmarks like the Gothic Cathedral, the Stone Gate, and lively Ban Jelačić Square. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy — perhaps take the funicular to Upper Town or relax with coffee at a local café.
Head south through Croatia’s countryside to one of Europe’s most spectacular natural wonders — Plitvice Lakes National Park. Wander wooden walkways above turquoise waters and cascading falls in this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Travel toward the coast, stopping at Trogir — a town that feels like an open-air museum with its Venetian architecture and medieval walls. Continue to Split, a lively seaside city built around Emperor Diocletian’s 4th-century palace.
