Welcome to Denver, the Mile High City. Settle in and explore at your own pace before meeting your Travel Director and fellow adventurers for a welcome dinner this evening.
Venture into Rocky Mountain National Park for alpine vistas and towering peaks. Drive along Trail Ridge Road (seasonal), the highest continuous paved highway in America, and pause in Estes Park for lunch on your own. End the day in Boulder with an evening at leisure.
Start with a guided visit to a community farm and learn about sustainable farming practices. Later, wander the storybook streets of Vail Village before continuing to Glenwood Springs. Tonight, stay in the historic Hotel Colorado, a landmark since 1893.
Head into the Rockies to explore Aspen’s alpine beauty and vibrant downtown on a guided walk. Venture into the surrounding wilderness for sweeping mountain views and a rustic-style lunch before returning to Glenwood Springs for a relaxed evening.
Travel to Palisade, the “Peach and Wine Capital of Colorado,” to meet local farmers and sample seasonal produce. Then marvel at Colorado National Monument’s towering red rock monoliths and sheer canyons. Tonight, enjoy a wine-paired dinner at Maison La Belle Vie Winery.
Take the San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway with a stop in Ouray, the “Switzerland of America.” Continue along the dramatic Million Dollar Highway to Silverton, then board the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Ride historic tracks through remote wilderness before arriving in Durango.
Step into the past at Mesa Verde National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore ancient cliff dwellings of the Ancestral Puebloans and learn their fascinating history. Enjoy an evening at leisure back in Durango.
Journey to Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve, home to the tallest dunes in North America. Visit the park’s visitor center and take in views of the golden sands set against the rugged Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Continue on to Colorado Springs for the night.
Explore Garden of the Gods, where dramatic red rock formations frame the Rockies. Then ride the historic Pikes Peak Cog Railway to the 14,115-foot summit for panoramic views of Colorado’s rugged wilderness. Wrap up the journey with a festive farewell dinner.
